Flavor Flav & FOL 3 Updates

Dr. Pepper teams with Flav for new Flavors

Flav and Dr. Pepper

The newest television ad spot for Dr Pepper is bursting with flavor, literally. Dr Pepper, a brand known
for its iconic 10, 2 and 4 and I'm a Pepper branded advertisements, turned
to Flavor Flav, the man who is known for wearing an oversized clock hanging
from his neck, for the commercial.

In his commercial debut, Flavor Flav gives voice to one of Dr Pepper's
23 flavors, delivering a creative and unique commercial that depicts that
there is something new to discover in every sip of Dr Pepper.

"Dr Pepper is flavorlicious like me. Just like Dr Pepper, I add more to
it," said Flavor Flav.

The commercial was created by Young & Rubicam and directed by Rob
Pritts. It opens with a college student listening to a lecture on a college
campus. The student opens a can of Dr Pepper, unleashing the 23 flavors of
Dr Pepper, which disrupt the professor's lecture. The recognizable voice of
Flavor Flav begins singing about how 'flavorlicious' Dr Pepper is, and
captures the attention of all the other students and the professor. The
student covers the can, but a salsa rhythm begins playing as soon as he
takes his hand away for another drink. After quieting the Dr Pepper a third
time, a final flavor plays a heavy metal riff to conclude the commercial.

"With 23 flavors in every Dr Pepper, you can find something new in
every sip," said Jaxie Alt, Dr Pepper brand director. "There's more to Dr
Pepper, and we believe this commercial delivers that message to soda
drinkers in a fun and relevant way."

Skankastic Match-Up Battles of the FOL Girls

I think this will be fun. I can't wait to read your comments about my match-ups and predictions. If you have any match-ups you think I should have addressed, leave those in the comments too.

New York
1. Heather from RofL1 and New York from FofL1 & 2 and ILNY1 & 2New York

Two runner-ups for the respective hearts of Bret and Flav. Two beasts that couldn't be tamed. Two ladies who have suffered the scorn of unrequited love.

Okay, enough. The winner is Heather, hands down. I know New York is a bad ass and she probably would've kicked the crap out of Pumpkin that fateful day if it didn't compromise her spot in Flav's mansion. BUT, she's a lot of hot air. If it was a verbal contest, she'd make Heather cry. But in a physical bout, I have to give it to Heather. She's in better shape (I hear a stripper pole works wonders for the muscles) and more than anything else, Heather could so take a hit in the face. I think New York would get hit once in the nose, start bleeding, and start screaming that she's going to sue Heather.

2. Pumpkin from FofL1 Vs. Hotlanta of FofL3

One has a penchant for spitting. One possibly has the gerps (my nickname for herpes). This would be a good fight because these two are scrappers. I can't say for sure who would win though. Pumpkin would definitely spit on Hotlanta. I think Hotlanta would get a few bitch slaps in. I think I'll put it to you for the winner. Who do you think would come out victorious?

3. Saaphyri from FofL2 and winner of Charm School Vs. Lacey from RofL1

Saaphyri One is from 54th and Crenshaw. One belongs in a psycho-ward. Who will win?

This would be the main event of the night if I was actually planning a Pay-Per-View event. Why? Because these girls would throw down for at least a few rounds. I think either one isn't afraid to get hit and both have done some hitting themselves. Here's how I think it would go down. Lacey would talk so much shit. Then Saaphyri would pounce on her and pummel her face. Now, this is where it would get good. Lacey, who belongs in a straight-jacket, would get up, face all bloody, and still want to fight. I think this move would throw Saaphyri's game off a little bit and Lacey would land a few good punches. But, Saaphyri would be the winner in the end.

4. Inna from RofL2 Vs. Rodeo from RofL1

Inna is the Ukrainian love tank. But, Rodeo is a tank. On account of extra testosterone alone, I think Rodeo would wipe the floor with Inna. And it would be over quick. Maybe that wasn't a fair match-up?

5. Bootz and Buckey from FofL2 and Charm School Vs. Thing 1 and Thing 2 from FofL3

Thing 1 and Thing 2 have special twin power but I think Bootz and Buckey would pull this one out. We've seen Bootz and Buckey be pretty aggressive on their shows. I think B & B would fight dirty and then the twins would run and tattle to Flav.

6. Hottie from FofL1 and Charm School Vs. Raina from FofL3

Both are ridiculous. Both are self-absorbed. Both live in their own world. And both are sneaky. We've seen Hottie (whose real name is Shatar) steal the other girls' dresses on Charm School. Raina (allegedly) had a guy call the Flavor of Love 3 house to get a girl in trouble. But only one of them has an aggressive side and that's Raina. For that reason, I think Raina would win. Hottie would be in disbelief that she was even in a fight. Or, since "Princess" Hottie thinks she's a descendant of royalty, she'd probably be wondering why her servants weren't there to help her out.

Flavor Flav: Not Really Looking For Love

Flav is not looking for LoveIt's no secret that Flavor Flav has been seeking out his ideal match among a pool of women vying for his heart ever since he appeared on VH1's Flavor of Love.  Since the reality dating series premiered in 2006, he has found love in the form of Hoopz (Nicole Alexander) and then Deelishis (London Charles), but to no avail.  With the program's present season, he gives his third and last shot at love, at least for entertainment purposes.

According to the 49-year-old rapper, he's not really on a quest for love because it naturally comes his way.

"Honestly, to tell you the truth, I'm never tired of bringing entertainment to television.  But it's not really like I'm looking for love.  I automatically get that when I walk out the door," the Flavor of Love star said.

Having done Flavor of Love for three years, the rapper turned reality star has apparently become weary of the game of choosing between sexy, bratty and brazen women with cameras trailing along for all the world to see.

"I'm not going to do any more Flavor of Loves," he revealed.  "It's getting a little repetitious for me, you know what I'm saying?"

While Flavor Flav is set to give up reality TV dating, his days as a TV star are far from over.  As reported previously, he has a new sitcom called Under One Roof, which premieres on April 16.  On the new show, he plays a guy newly released from jail who moves in with his conservative brother, portrayed by Kelly Perine, in Beverly Hills.  Although the new series sounds like a rip-off of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Flavor Flav reveals, "ours has a different twist" and of course, a way different cast.

At present, Flavor Flav is in Canada shooting the first order of episodes of Under One Roof.

"I had to cut a lot of other things out, including touring with my group Public Enemy.  We had dates on the table we had to cancel out," he said.  "My personal career right now is more important to me than anything but the air I breathe.

T.O. to guest star on Flav's new show

Terrell Owens is going to try his game in Hollywood.

The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver will guest star in an upcoming episode of Flavor Flav's new comedy "Under One Roof," premiering April 16 on MyNetworkTV.

Flav plays Calvester Hill, an ex-convict who moves in with his wealthy, conservative brother and turns the Hill family's life upside down in the half-hour comedy being produced in Vancouver, Canada.

"I am really excited about the show and grateful for the opportunity," Owens said in a statement Tuesday. "I am looking forward to the experience and working with the cast."

Flav called Owens "one of my most favorite players in history."

"One thing special I want to say to Terrell is, 'Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of my show and consider this episode one extra touchdown under your belt,'" he said in a statement.

Owens, a six-time Pro Bowl player, owns the Cowboys' single-season record for receiving touchdowns and has the third-most TD catches in NFL history.

His off-field credits include episodes of "Punk'd" and "The Tracy Morgan Show," and the 1999 football movie "Any Given Sunday."
